....Sri lanka..Land of brave lions...
The sri lankan tamils in europe
canada
usa all supports LTTE
either by force or by thier own will.
why?

because most of the tamils living in those countires ,
dont have permanent citizenship in those countries.
those tamils came their in the 80s,
saying the governments of those countries
we cant live in sri lanka
sinhala people kill us(which is not true after 1983,and most of tamils who fled were not even hurt) They went ,because they saw a chance to go to those developed countirs)
so those countires accepted them as refugees,
now a generation later, still most of them dont have citizenship
so if the war ends in sri lanka
those tamils has to come back to our country
they dont like it
why?
They cant leave thier luxuiry lives in those countries and come to sri lanka
so they support LTTE propaganda
to stop the war.

it is a anticlimax.

poor buggers.
But there are very few genuine tamils in those countries
who dont support LTTE

me LTTE ekaat salli dena tamil forum eketh kiyala thiyano tamils seeked refugge in those countires

The eruption of the civil conflict in Sri Lanka between the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam saw mass migration of Tamils to escape the hardships and bitter life of a country torn at war. (See also Black July)
Initially, it was professionals such as doctors and engineers who emigrated. This was followed by the poorer segments of the community who sold everything they had to be able to get a passport and ticket and seek asylum in foreign lands. The bitter ethnic fighting in Sri Lanka had driven over 800,000[citation needed] Sri Lankan Tamils from their homeland, forcing them to find refuge around the globe

    but we all know it
most tamil people dont have citizenship
search the paper's website. they all have archives.
If the paper doesnt have a web site, atleast name the paper and the date and if possible the page number.
As for the tamils. most of them who went to those countries in the 80s are now citizens of those countries and are no longer Sri Lankan. Their kids are automatically citizens of those countries as well. Only a few are in refugee status now and even from those, only those that has not entered the legal process of getting asylum or being assimilated will be deported back to SL.
No, that's not the reason why they support the LTTE. The reason is that as long as the war is going on in SL, they are at an advantage as they play the victimized minority role in other countries to gain favors. Once the war stops, they can no longer claim they are victimized and they loose those favors.

Again its a one sided pro LTTE site. No one beileves that site to be a neutral fact finding site.
