I'm not judging her beliefs (since I haven't done enough research into them), I'm simply congratulating M.I.A on her success in the music industry. She has pushed her way to the forefront of alternative hip hop (trip hop) and has become known internationally. I commend her for that.​

I’m not pretending to know a lot about the civil war, because I don’t. I’m just trying to reason why so many people are against M.I.A. It seems like you all are blaming her family and people she knows for being in the tigers, but not HER herself. Just because her father is a tiger, doesn’t mean she is.

Machan don't overreact.You can't blame her for not knowing this stuff because she lives abroad.If you look at her posts she is posting with the idea that we are all anti-Tamil.She says that M.I.A supports the Tamil people and not the terrorists.I think she should take a closer look at M.I.A's videos and art to see all the pro LTTE symbols M.I.A has included.Also M.I.A constantly refers to herself as a refugee but fails to mention that her father was a prominent EROS member.
