SEAT launched in China this year, and Chinese buyers like saloons. Although the IBL concept car is said to preview SEAT's future design evolution, could it also preview a future compact saloon? The brand needs new cars, fast, and this could be just the fillip required.
This long awaited, back-to-basics sports coupe is the result of a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. Light weight + rear-wheel-drive + low centre of gravity = pure driving pleasure.
The Woking-based outfit will continue its assault on Ferrari's product range by launching a convertible version of its MP4-12C. The chances of it getting a name that doesn't remind you of a Star Wars robot? Virtually nil.
The turbines have been ditched for a conventional motor, but Jaguar's stunning concept has been confirmed for a strictly limited production run. Its rarity means a likely price of £1million.
As yet unconfirmed but certainly strongly rumoured is a replacement for the aging baby Lambo, the Gallardo. With looks influenced by the lightweight Sesto Elemento concept (pictured), it'll be as sharp on the eyes as it's fast on the road.
Alfa's lightweight turbo coupe is almost with us. That it may not match the dynamic ability of rivals from Porsche and Lotus can be forgiven in the face of such knee-trembling looks.
A shooting-brake version of the premium, range-extender hybrid, Karma GT (it would be criminal to refer to this svelte beauty as an estate). Eco cars have never looked so good. Won't be cheap if it ever makes it to the UK, though.
Mazda has ignored the electro-pokery of rival hybrids and instead concentrated on making the good old combustion engine as frugal as possible. The Skoda Yeti-rivalling CX-5 will be the first model to use the resulting 'Skyactiv' tech.
The smallest car to wear the three-pointed star will receive a complete image revamp for its third generation, the boxy styling replaced by a sporty, coupe-like profile to finally offer a rival to the BMW 1 Series and Audi A3.
More power mean 0-62mph in just 2.7 seconds. While detail improvements to chassis include asymmetrical suspension. You may have to drive it to its sky high limits to feel the difference, though. Nissan GTR
With every successive generation of the 911, Porsche closes the dynamic gap between the coupé and cabriolet variants. That the 991 generation coupe is a brilliant drive bodes well for its soft-top sibling.
