I have been using aqua - Xurban model from 2015 to 2018. Have been every corner with this car. I have Never experienced undercarriage strike in any road including the worst (off) road Puttalam - Mannar and even Panama - Kudumbigala forest.
I imported from the factory and after 3 years of usage (daily) still the battery was 100%. Fuel economy and Battery is upto the driving style and knowledge of battery maintenance. I experienced fuel economy of 25 - 30 Km/L and the best fuel economy I had was above 35Km/L. (1000Km journey by Rs 3500/= Colombo - Habarana - Batticaloa - Arugambay - Udawalawe - Colombo)
To be honest I used octane 95 and 0W-20 engine oil and regular maintenance done every 5000Km.
To drive a hybrid economically you must have some understanding of mechanical and battery science.
Do not believe broker's hearsay.
My next vehicle is also Aqua - crossover. Because it saves a lot with no troubles.

Toyota Aqua is one of the best family car Ive used and 'being used as at today. I have used it 4+ years now, haven't had any trouble at all. Ive drive the car @170Km/Hr with supper controlled and travel through all the areas of Sri Lanka.

I have done all the services at every 5000Kms run as per the manufactures recommendation, Hybrid battery is perfectly okay and recorded 95%-98% performance in all the records.

Once I have to replace the reverse camera which cost me Rs 2800.00 for a new installation.

Its a perfect family car to one to have, highly recommend if any willing to go to own an economical troubled free family vehicle.

Its better to use a Aqua before complaining. Its a very good car. Never had a undercarriage strike (even in roads without concrete layer.). Using for 3+ years. Toyota has the best hybrid technology in the world (Don't believe me? Just google it ).
