TRC | SLT ADSL | Issue

Hi Guys,

I come here in last resort to find a some good advice and how i can tackle this situation im facing with SLT ,

Im using Web Family for about 2 years, before that was using Unlimited 512kps connection from SLT.

My speeds always been 3mbps with a upload of 0.18mps, which is not a good ratio to browse the internet.
Btw im from Dehiwela, Nedimala.

I Tried calling TRC contact from the given mail,told they would get back ,unfortunately not got back since its been a week now,

Same with SLT they told the complain is still not in the closed state.

snr = signal to noise ratio

what is your router brand and make ? SNR(Sound to Noise Ratio) if your SNR is lower than 20dbs SLT will not increase your speed thus there is no point in complaining them..either they put another exchange near to your house or you move to a closer location to their current exchange... These so called speed increment only benefit very less of the users..

I have PEOTV too..
When they increase speed snr goes below 20db and connection becomes unstable

How do i get my SNR up ?
Is its SLT fault ? in that case was this what they were referring to bad line ?

it depends on the condition of the copper cable,distance to the nearest exchange,and sometimes snr margin goes down due to bad condition of adls splitters.try changing your adsl splitter and cables
