Sri Lanka Cricket are hoping that the planned tri series between South Africa and Pakistan and Sri Lanka could be staged in Colombo at the end of this month.
This tournament was of course scheduled to take place in South Africa to fill the void created by the postponement of the Champions Trophy.
Sri Lanka Cricket sources revealed that top officials from the Dubai based Ten Sports television channel will be arriving in Colombo today to discuss this matter and a final decision could be arrived at thereafter.

In another major development the SLC has increased the payments for clubs, players and coaches by more than 12 per cent for the 2008/09 inter club season. In addition financial assistance for qualified coaches with national and first class playing experience are some of the notable benefits granted for the up coming season.
This means that the total payments for clubs for the current season is Rs. 38,780,373 and the total payments as player fee for the season is Rs. 50,856,000.
