AFAIK (which I admit is very little), Thripitakaya has the main theology of Buddhism and the accepted ways for a Monk (male or female) to live.
It doesnt say how a woman in general should live.
I may be wrong so lets wait for someone with more knowledge on the subject to reply.
Just forget about Thripitaka. And even Bible, Quaran or Vedas. Instead, be true to your own conscience - inner self - 'hrda sakshiya'.
Women in general should be decent and self-restrained.
