TV output on a vga card

Old TVs (non HDTVs that is) don't support resolutions above 720x576 and maybe this is the case.

I dont no if our TV is HD....but it supports 1027x768 when connected via S-Video......21" Sony flat......

when i use windows media player i can see videos even on secondary display(it's not needed to be selected as primary display,)
it's ideal to see videos on TV and do other work on monitor with Dual View option in nVidia panel

today i played some games on tv,maxxa
but i've to select tv as primary display to play games

guys i connected a old tv to my geforce vga card for bigger display,but at high resolutions like 1024*768 on tv letters are blured,but at 640*480 it's clear but my monitor has 1280*1024 so some screen area isn't visible,
and when i play a video(i think any thing uses overlay)it isn't visible on tv,
how to correct this?
