OpenGL's concepts r understandable by all..so simple
OpenGL supports NO business therefore they dont hav updates when new hardware comes out -dey hav only real software updates
Dey Do NOT favour ny kinda GPU type[etc nVidia, ATI..]
--guess wht microsoft's own support for directx 9 in VB6 is lower dan OpenGL's support for the same programin lang.[i hav personal experience]

OpenGL is better than DirectX.IMHO.ppl think direct X is better coz
1.Many use that.
2.ATI dont knw how to write drivers for OpenGL.
3.nVidia writes drivers only to surpass ATIs and hang on with MS.

well tell me atleast ten main differences between DX8.1 AND DX9 ...it would b hard to find evn 5 hehe like most ms stuf its just da shell no updates to da CORE!....u knw dere r registry values stil in da windows registry dat say da windows version is 3.1 HEHHHHEE if u dont laugh 4 dat wht kinda stuf du u laugh at??

ATI don't support Opengl in hardware level? Jeez. Wonder how people can run Doom 3 and Quake4 on ATI cards

I only care the quality (effects) and performance.
DX9 doesn't sped up things, but allows more effects on the same hardware.

do u knw abt HAL? hardware abstraction layer ?? i was talkin abt special registers for the special effects like rendering support n GPU control n y do u support ms stuf soo much ? do dey pay u? HEHE
