fees going up for uk/eu students

parliament will vote on the fee increase this Thursday

if they vote yes fees will go up from £3000 to £9000 (top universities will charge £9000)

most universities will charge around £6000

international fees could also go up

international fees are decided by the universities not the government

International fee rates (non EU) are decided by the universities not the government.

the student must return to the country of citizenship/residence to apply

In case anyone's lookin for an alternative to UK unis... www.jacobs-university.de =P

haha ok. It's actually more expensive (9000 euros per semester) but they're VERY generous with financial aid here.. I know nearly no one who doesn't have a scholarship and/or a grant!! Plus, it's an excellent university and it's extremely fun to live here ;D
