    God Bless Sri lanka
Ya. So that could be the case with some of the Polytechnics, I didn't know that.

Fair enough, it gets colder as you go down the South Island, Invercargill is almost at the latter of the South Island. Afterall, the South Pole is just down the street. February is the humid season, its Summer right now, and there are a few bright and sunny says occasionally. But Winter gets real cranky.

Your Visa should take no longer than a month, so I think you've got time. Just make your flight bookings in advance, even if you have to give in a letter without your Visa.

well dnt u think its too soon to book...i mean still i didnt get the visa and afta getn it even we have to send the passport back to embassy to get the seals...by a dhl express courier it will take one n half days to get there...and to come back here it will take another day or 2...so its a big issue now...we are waiting till any positive reply from the embassy...our agent is kit with them...as they said they started work...last 4th afta new years...so she said it mi8 take another week or 2 to get a reply from them mayb around 25th..

Does anyone know what happened to the PSW? Is it screwed or still a proposal?
Government wants to cancel the 2 year PSW (post study worker)

other things they want to do

Students should only be allowed to work on
campus during the week and for any external
employer at weekends and during vacation
    periods

Where a course includes a work placement,
raise the minimum ratio of study to work
placement from 50:50 to 66:33 so that these
types of courses become less attractive to people
using them as a way to gain access to the UK
    employment market.

Remove permission to work for all dependents of
    Tier 4 students.

Only those Tier 4 students studying for more
than 12 months to be allowed to bring their
    dependants to the UK.

you must have lot of money

many students are now coming for 1 year (final year or masters)
