you can do it at home. u need blackberry usb cable and MMLsetup and 8100 firmware which can be downloaded from RIM support site

Can unlock any RIM (Research in motion) blackberry 8xxx and 9xxx except blackberry storm

step 1
Download & install MML Setup
Replace MML directory from downloaded file to "C:\MML" - Overwrite all files there
disconnect internet * wont work otherwise
run MML.exe
turn on ur device fully and connect to device
wait till mml shows "pass"
wait till screen shows 1
you might need to press "start" on the keypad to releace the device to javaloader mode whn u do the reflashing

step2
download blackberry desktop manager and necessory firmware here
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp

install 8100 setup and delete or rename vendor.xml from c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\vendor.xml (u can install and vendor os system whn u delete vendor.xml ex orange t-mobile at&t)

connect the device to pc and open desktop manager goto application loader and install the software. process take 10 min to half an hour

u r done phn unlocked

free soft only for ek members

Now disconnect your blackberry from pc then type to out cal mode then you will see error 507 , bla bla etc


Connect your blackberry then open blackberry desktop manager update/ReInstall BlackBerry Operating System.
