Hi all,
I have graduated from SLIIT two years ago and currently working at a leading IT company in Sri Lanka (I think I should not mention my company name in this kind of a forum).
Accidently I saw this forum yesterday and I thought of providing my comment here as a past student of SLIIT.
First of all I like to say mallila, please don’t ruin the name for SLIIT in the industry.
I was there at the Imagine Cup last Thursday as an industrial representative. I was really upset about the behavior of our junior students. You were hooting at the UOM group when they have started presenting and also in the awarding (hooting at an awarding is the worst thing you can do). There were many industry people presented at that event. Don’t you know that they are measuring you from your behavior on such an event? I know few idiots have done that but remember that you have represented the entire SLIIT. No one from UOM or UCSC had such a bad behavior. So remember, next time give a big cheer to our SLIIT teams but don’t hoot at others because it will reflect your stupidity.
You will understand these things when you come to the industry. I respect SLIIT a lot and I am really upset about the things you do.

I do not comment on the situation happened coz I do not know what the hell happened there. but you are insulting UOM. if you wanna discredit UOM or attack the whole UOM then please mention it here, or if wanna just express your viewpoint of the particular group please mention the exact names. do not say UOM. I'm from UOM-CSE and when you say it as UOM it really hurts.

Also I don't think so, No body Will Support, regarding reporting me & my friends profile and banding them , due to we had some comment thread regarding agents in wining imagine Cup photos.(anyway we are not going to band there profiles we are not 3rd class like that)
Come on guys ,If somebody going for competition , they have to have strength to bare the good/bad comments about it. in that way humans correct there mistakes.

Above is an extraction from your previous comments and I would like to clarify with some stuff that I saw that day. I agree you people did not hoot for UoC and Pera, but are you totally sure that you didn't hoot for the team who won the 3rd place? You people did it as I saw. And, judge panels never hoot, why should they be called a 'judge panel' if they did so?? And will it be a fair competition if the judge panel supports either to you or one party?? Think wise bro....you are making negative impressions about the judge panel among outsiders as well. General public is reading this thread. And to show up your 'kolu gathiya', most people out there in the industry wouldn't prefer hooting as you've clearly said.
Change your behavior; before trying to change others or the whole world. That's what I believe the core idea of having iCup is all about, changing the world for a better future. Your future, the impression you make, is on your hands....Please don't spread hatred around....UoM guys might have done it wrongfully, but it seems they are not actively participating in any sort of arguments you make....Does that sense anything to you??
Victory or the defeat lasts temporarily....so don't get overwhelmed with victories or defeats......

if you can remember, we did IC. in recent history. may be you were not there when our batch did IC and won a place. we respect IC. no one is saying that IC is something that has no value. we know the value of IC. the reason we not doing has no connection with the value if IC.
