Using part of the hard disk as memeory is called as Paging file and by default this space will be 1.5 of your total RAM. Lets say you have 1 G memory and then your pagefile.sys should be 1.5 GB in your HDD> Normally this is a hidden file in your C: drive. But if you want to improve the performance I'd suggest you move it to diffrent partion in a diffrent DISK!!
