    My Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop was bought in 2008, I was using it for so long as it was working fine (except for the battery) but now it has become really really slow and annoying to use. So I decide to go ahead with the upgrade after doing some research online and yes I didn't have much money to waste on a new laptop.
    :yes:

    Original system configuration of the laptop were,

    * Processor - Intel Pentium dual core T2330 @ 1.6 GHz (Socket PGA478)

    * Memory - 1GB (PC2 5300 DDR2 SO-DIMM 533Mhz)

    * Hard disk - 120 GB (SATA)

    Upgraded into,

    * Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 @ 2.5 GHz (from ebay Rs. 5250)

    * Memory - 4GB PC2-5300 667Mhz DDR2 SO-DIMM (from ebay Rs. 3700)

    * Hard disk - 1TB SATA2 5400 RPM with 8Mb cache (from barclays Rs.8300)

    Since my motherboard was designed for SATA (and SATA2 didn't exist at that time) I'm not getting the full benefit of the new SATA2 hard disk which is the 3Gbps data transfer rate but who cares I have 1TB now :P

    Now its working like a new one with zero lag and super performance. Planing to upgrade to Win 8.1 Pro 64 bit this week. :yes:
