It can be a virus, if it is you can try this small software I wrote, otherwise it's probably a hardware problem

(1)Copy the software to your usb.
(2)Then run it.
(3)It might take sometime depending on the number of folders and files in your computer
(4)Once the software finishes running, you'll be able to see all the files in your USB, delete the virus files.
