Guys,

Decided to go for a civic 1000cc. Now the problem is octane 95. Heard a temp solution will be using 92+octane booster. So if you guys can, help me out with the following

1. Recommend an octane booster I can buy from SL. I saw the following on daraz but not sure if it is the right one. (https://www.daraz.lk/products/stp-g...a0e.searchlist.list.6.7be63830ZBq8G5&search=1)
2. How to use it? Saw that you need to put this before filling the tank to full

Do note that these octane boosters used to go for around 1500LKR. I bought 10 for 15330LKR back in January.

I've tried Liqui moly and Redex octane boosters, both based on MMT. Both seem to work as advertised - although my car isn't the best to test these products on as it's designed to accept everything above RON 90, tho the peak performance and FE could only be attained with 95 RON or higher

You'll have to use a can with every tankful (50L)

It's advised to pour it before refuelling so it gets mixed thoroughly, although I preferred to empty one in the evening so it has the time to mix till next morning

That's all I guess, put some pics here once you complete the purchase of your car, a review would be most welcome

So if you don't get 95 you will not drive ? Saw that the 95 stock is limited.

Octane Boosters like Liqui Molly only improves Octane number by 0.4 octane numbers. They will advertise it as 4 units. But 10 units is equal to one full octane number. Those companies will never tell you this. New Civics Can run on 92 euro 3 petrol ECU will adjust ( I have used it without boosters ), But it is not recommended in long term.

Mostly gimmick... Just like those Vitamin supplements being advertised. Some say it might imorove the performance of turbo-charged engines. In any case how can you make Octane 92 into Octane 95 by adding a bottle of a booster?
