2011 LA Auto Show: Cadillac Ciel Concept

We received our first live look at the all new Cadillac Ciel concept at the 2011 LA Auto Show. A few months ago we posted an article with full details about the intial debut of the Fancy Cadillac Ciel concept however seeing it in person is a different story. Named after the French word “sky” this car is smooth as butter from the suicide doors to the missing B-pillar that is similar to the 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible.


Cadillac has been busy lately with three new models entering the production line. It will be difficult to say this Cadillac Ciel will be on that production line soon. We can only hope and wait, while the Cadillac ELR hybrid coupe soaks up all the extra attention it deserves.

2011 LA Auto Show: Subaru BRZ STI Concept

Subaru had this tease on display at the 2011 LA Auto Show called the Subaru BRZ STI Concept. Although it is not in production, this is one of the first Subaru sports cars we have seen that is not all-wheel-drive nor turbocharged. While it still holds the famous Subaru four-cylinder boxer engine, this is one of the first live appearances of what the Subaru BRZ STI will look like.

At the exterior is a large wing that jumps out and is somewhat typical Subaru styling. Since the BRZ won’t be as fast as the original STI because of the lacking turbocharger and AWD, it will make up for this by cutting weight. Performance parts such as Bembo brakes all around are still present, while we look forward to possibly having a carbon fiber roof being an option for some customers.

Subaru Impreza WRX STI Convertible

The Subaru Impreza WRX STI is definitely one of my favorite cars, however a guy visiting Manchester Subaru in New Hampshire made a custom one never seen before. Can’t say this is one of the most tastefully modded scoobies, but you have to give him props for the work done.

This Subaru STI convertible is quite unique, yet the huge spoiler seems somewhat overkill. The guys at Top Gear UK previously chopped the top on an old Renault Espace, so atleast we can say this looks somewhat better. Much different, but cool I guess for those summer days, check more pictures after the jump.
