VGA connect problem

I have NVIDIA Geforce 6200 512MB AGP VGA. When I connect it to my tv through the out which is there on the vga it shows the windows loading screen on the tv. after windows loads the tv screen does not show the desktop. the screen goes nil. What is the problem in it?
