i paid $330 Australian Dollars ( Rs. 34 000) for my 8800GT back in February and the shop said that I went for a good brand because apparently I purchased the best 8800GT in Australia.

Your one is Gainward 1024MB right? Nice card!

But the extra 512MB mem. you paid for isn't really worth it... because apparently 512 editions and 1GB editions have no significant difference in performance!

nope 512mb, i didn't buy the 1GB GDDR3 because it isn't as good as the 512mb GDDR3 version which i got
