250W is too weak to run anything new. Maybe a Geforce 7 or low end 8 series Gfx card, but then again it's a waste of money to upgrade a P3 system. Cos you wont be able to use the gfx card on a new system. I'd say save it and upgrade the whole machine once you get enough cash.

Ok then, I think a 8500GT will run that game on medium details at moderate resolution settings.
This video is supposedly shot with a 8500GT, looks allright. You might not get the same level of performance because of your CPU. But still it should be playable, nonetheless.

8600GT/9500Gt would be possible........ 1gb ones consume more power so make it sure by reading the box details of the card.usually it shows the max power consumption.... what is the amperage of the 12v rails of ya psu?? check it and multiply that with the currunt....to get the power out put....P=VI
but i recommend you to get an original power unit (good brand) if you are planning into gaming....

Don't worry too much abt the PSU. If your current PSU won't work with the new card then you can get one of those cheap 400W ones for less than 2k, right ?. Those cheap crappy chinese shit :P PSUs will not put out exactly 400Watts , but will be better than a 250W for sure.

At least try to get 8600gt ddr3 version. But the problem is your cpu. This game requirements are more similar to GTA4.I have a p4 pc with 2.8,2gb ddr2,9600gt. Even though i have 9600gt GTA 4 firstly run realy slow it get 5 to 10 frps.after the 3rd patch of GTA 4 now it can playeble. This path came after 3 month of game release. So i dont think even i can play this game.
