      Download and install Avidemux freeware. Once installation has completed, launch the program.

      Click "File" from the top menu and select "Open." Locate your AVI video file and click "Open."

      Edit Video, Audio, and Format settings in the left navigation of Avidmux application window. Select "MJPEG (lavc)" from the dropdown list under Video. Select "Copy" from the dropdown list under Audio. Select "AVI" from the dropdown list under Format.

      Save the file. Click the "Save" button from the top menu. Provide a name for your new video file and click "Save." Your AVI file has now been converted to a Motion JPEG (.mjpeg).

    I frequently use eRightSoft SUPER when I want to convert something. It's free and can convert between a load of different file formats. One of the options under the avi filetype output codec is M-JPEG, which I presume is the same thing? If so it could be worth a try.
