After testing Windows 7 Build 7201 for some time (This is not the Release Candidate, its the RTM version and is the final product) I can safely say that its a much mature Product than vista at any rate, memory consumption has improved dramatically, and the interface is very snappy, start up is very fast, it uses about 700MB of memory without any third party background processes are running and settles at 30 running processes (this was close to 50 processes in Vista and used almost 1.7GB of ram on the first run). its performance is almost on par with windows XP but if u tweak XP properly XP is quite un beatable, so yeah Windows 7 is a good OS, now we just have to find ways to tweak it to get more juise out of it.

Windows 7 Detected and installed Drivers for all the hardware on my system except for the on board Jmicron RAID controller, my hardware includes 8800GT, Creative Soundblaster X-FI Extreme Music, to my surprise it installed a driver for the X-FI also, and for the sofware All the software I use day to day work without any problem on it, I use the 64bit versions of the software when ever I can, but any 32 software will run without any problem on it and with no performance hit, but I found it that some softwares are quite a bit faster on my XP installation but not as much difference when i run em on Vista tho, If you have enough Memory (I have 6GB of RAM) go for win 7 64bit, Win 7 32bit will run just fine on a 2GB system, I have installed it on a old Pentium D system with 1GB of ram and it ran without any problem and was very snappy.
