The best place on earth SRI LANKA
WARNING!!! to all 49cc BIKE USERS

there is a rule which is brought into function recently that all the 49CC(Kinectic, Gizmo...etc..mewa 49cc kiwwata 49cc newei lu...70cc lu) bikes must be registered from the relevant department...

Today at around 5.30pm...the police caught ma cuzin and me for riding a kinetic bike without license...he took the key off the bike..and then said to push the bike to the police station...we were wondering y do we needed license for a kinetic bike..then i went home and called ma uncle (ma couzins father)(at this time ma cuzin was at the police station) and said ma uncle about the incident...after that he came to the police station and talked with the police regarding the case...thn the police said either to keep the bike and go to the relevant department and get registered the bike, then come back and get the bike or elz he said to keep someones driving license and then to take the bike.. so ma uncles submitted his driving license and got a temporary license ( Thada kola) and took the bike home...so now within 14 days time we must get register our bike...

so you ppl also be careful...dont ride a 49CC bike without a license...actually the bike is 70CC even though its mentioned as 49CC....
IF U DONT GET THE BIKE REGISTERED, THN U CANT RIDE IT...AFTER U REGISTER YOUR BIKE THEN YOU NEED DRIVING LICENSE TO DRIVE THE BIKE

If your friends/releations is/are using a 49cc (gizmo. kinetic...etc) bike tell them about this....

If u like my post or find this useful + rep ekak denne

get the papers of that bike and check the engine displacement. If its a 49cc bike, the papers will say its 49cc. Go and show that to the cops.

as far as i know the paper says 49cc...policiyata ehema kiwwa....eyala kiwwa owa company eki balaganne kiyalaii
take the bike to the RDA and get a certificate from them for the engine capacity of the bike. Show that to the cops. If they still refuse to return the license go to courts.
The courts will accept the RDA certificate as final.
