asiridol said:machan.. how can select only to display camera details? output so long. and first parts can't be seen either.
can you tell me your email address so i can send it?kosandpol said:try this :
download the driver from here :
http://linuxtv.org/hg/~pinchartl/uvcvideo/archive/tip.tar.bz2
and extract it:
e.g. tar xjvf tip.tar.bz2 if you got the bz2 archive.
Save the patch in the folder where you extracted uvcvideo to and change the path in the patch to:
linux/drivers/media/video/uvc/uvc_video.c
Get the patch from here : http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=75463&d=1214563240
Then just execute
patch -p0 < patch_solution1_mirrored.txt
Should output that it patched it.
Now you can build the module with
make && make install
And load it with
modprobe uvcvideo

Really. Thats good news. well at least the Buddhist Chanel shouldn't steal![]()
I wonder what other channels use.

kosandpol said:If the driver is in the CD, yo can compile and install from that. Zip and upload the entire linux folder to sendspace and give the link.
Also get a command prompt and run this command and post the result here :
uname -a

Eg : Kopete (KDE's IM application) has all those controls in the settings for the web cam.
