Mirroring with Linux

Some one has experience in Red Hat RAID I ?
Is this the way to mirror one SCSI HD to another ?
Pleas Help

If i setup RAID, can't i remove the RAID later?

    I've seen even some linux distros go crazy due to un supported SATA controllers in MOBOs.
