a few months back i wrote a poem based on buddhism..it's not exactly about lord buddha..i thought i would post it here.
The Human Divinity..
January 2, 2009
in another day of unending slavery
obsessed with the passion for the life
i long for my long lost divinity
oppressed withing my dying strife
to see beyond my self watered vanity
taunted by an ironical contrary
in where the bliss of living in a dream
shadows the will to walk away from insanity
but I see myself smiling in extremes
of life with crimson passion in the vicinity
redemption seems an act of bravery
in what my cowardice never ceases to win
over the desire for a taste of serenity
clinging to living isn’t really a sin
but contemptuous in the sense of eternity
my true love has always been imaginary
and equal is it to every mind of pure
egoistical nature of utter humanity
and i war then i crave for a cure
to live beyond the life, the human divinity..

parakku wela hari oyalage me karyata sahabagi wenna labeema sathutak..
පොලෝ තලයෙහි අඳුර දුරු කොට,
අපේ බුදු හිමි දෙසූ බණ පද
සිසිල කැන්දයි රිදුන සිත් වෙත.....
පුදමි බැතියෙන් මේ කුසුම් මිට
තබා පිරිසුදු බුදුන් අභියස,
මියෙන ජීවිත සසර ගමනෙක
සිහිරමි මේ කූසුම් මෙන් වග....
පහන් සිල දැල්වී ලෙලෙන සඳ
එලය විහිදා අඳුර දුරුකොට,
