Is Acer a good brand than Toshiba?

Why do people consider Acer a low quality brand? Is it because its cheap?

Every manufacturer has got budget and high end segments!

I had a cheapo Acer which never gave me a problem... but I didn't expect it to perform 1st class either... the problem is when people buy the cheapest laptop and try to push it to make it perform like a high end!

i recommended u to go for a asus laptop its far better in performance as well as warranty(3 years) and reasonable price.

Agreee...
Earlier i used ACER Laptop but now I swithced to ASUS....

ASUS is damn good compared to ACER.. the price is also reasonable and the best deal is u get 2 years International Warranty.

From my experience I would say Toshiba is better than ACER... but the difference is the price. you can buy a high spec ACER laptop for the price of a normal Toshiba.

I would not say ACER is bad, but this is a relative matter...

What i want to know has anyone encountered any serious problem like overheating etc with Acer laps?

Plus the Acer i've mentioned has a dual core and Toshiba a celeron processor.
