but that's not virtual memory....so it will be much faster than that ne....
This is not virtual memory either.
Anyways, unless you turn off the paging completely, it will still use the pagefile, and the performance will dip a bit. A fast flash drive can compensate for that, while keeping enough headroom for launching big programs (like games).

I know. This is the cheap way. If I had 4GB RAM, then I wouldn't need Readyboost. :)

Why do you think I bought this pen drive, when there were a lot of Kingston driver for a cheaper price? I bought this specifically for Readyboost. But tbh, I didn't think this drive was this good.

    Where I'm now
Here we go! Kingston Data Traveler U3 2GB drive.
The ups & downs r caused by spyware, antivirus and firewalls.

looks like Kingston is wrong. they say 3 and 6 but this says 12..So does Toms hardware!

Yeah, now I'm really happy. I'm not gonna need that Corsair drive ;)
Seems like every drive exceeds the shown limit..Toms say 27 & 35 (I think) for corsair voyager which is 2nd fastest..U'll still need a corsair..
