Those who eat meat will find some argument to justify it. You cannot decide eating or not eating meat by argument. It is a matter of heart.

I feel it is not proper to kill another animal and eat its flesh.

You may then argue - 'then you cannot eat even plants'.

My reply is - 'Maybe, plants feel pain. But I must eat something to live. So, I will cause pain to plants rather than to animals in order to live'.

Got my idea, eluwa?

No. I didn't argue "then you cannot eat even plants."

We know that plants are අව්ඤ්ඤාණකයි, which means no විඤ්ඤාණය. so they are simply ජීවීන් (organisms) but not සත්ත්වයින් (beings)

Plus, පණාතිපාතා refers to සවිඤ්ඤාණක සත්ත්වයින් (නාමරූප) not for අවිඤ්ඤාණක organisms with only රූප .
