Very hard question machan...
Overall, at least a degree will be required if you're going to do a professional level job in the future.
All fields have their own advantages and disadvantages. (be it IT, HR, MGT, MKT etc.)
The main difference between an IT BSc and other BScs are the course content.
IT degrees mainly focus on Information and Communications Technologies.
You can become an Analyst, Software Engineer, Programmer, Network Engineer, Web developer, Web designer ... -> Project manager, Chief Technical Officer by doing an IT degree.
Having said that, all BSc degrees are 'academic' qualifications.
To get a better job and to become a potential candidate in the job market, you have to have 'professional' level qualifications too. Such as Cisco certified exams, Micro$oft certified exams, Sun certified, RedHat certified, CompTIA+ etc.
Your question is sort of ambiguous and can write a whole book explaining those things. - But I hope you got a small understanding at least machan.
Anyway the most important thing in life is achieving your dreams. So do what you like most. I know you have to think about the job market too. But sometimes what you do according to the job market might not what you really like. Be it that way and live with it - because you need to have a job to realise your dreams. But don't ever go away from your dreams. Because ultimately everything you learn will come together to build the dream you want!
All the best machan.
