What is the luckiest accident you ever had?

Some years back I was crossing a city street and a car ran a red light. Bad.
I leaped out of the way and wasn’t hit. Good.
I fell and struck my head against the curb, and started bleeding. Bad.
I was taken to the hospital and they found no damage from the accident. Good.
But they did find a tumor which could kill me in a couple of years. Bad.
So a month later they removed it, and it won’t come back. Good.
But the operation confused my brain to the extent my right foot from the ankle down is paralysed for life. Well, I’m pushing 80 and if that’s the worst thing to happen to me I’m not going to complain.
Now if that car hadn’t run that red light, I probably wouldn’t still be alive now.
But people are funny; I still haven’t really forgiven that driver who saved my life.
