What is your Internet Connection? (I want some information for my school project!!)

SEA-ME-WE 2 is not there anymore. It's seized operations.
SEA-ME-WE 3 and the whole new SEA-ME-WE 4 are working.
These are the only two cables that Sri Lanka uses. Two more cables are there, but they are new and Sri Lankan traffic doesn't go in them.

Those satellites are mostly used for TV broadcasts. Of course there are data links, but links are so small compared to what the submarine cables send/receive.

Flag Telecom's submarine cable comes only up to India (from middle east/gulf).

149 dirhams thats like 4000 bucks.. hehe slt adsl is cheap!

But their salaries are more than ours. I think it's a lot cheaper with respect to the salaries.

same as our admin plus i use dialog gprs when i'm on the go the best speed on gprs i've got is around 5K its the same for the dialup too using their accelerated dialup number

(in cheap hours Rs 0.11 for a minute+start-up fee Rs3.00)
Speed : 15~18KBs in the morning. In the night (like 9.00~10.00p.m.) Connection is Worse.

100Mbps is the LAN speed, not the internet speed.

My connection is different than Others....... It's a satellite connection !! Have good Speed !!! but It's Changing....... Max. D/w Speed is 512 kbps !!! but i dnt know it's uploading speed correctly !!!
