sri lankans need a visa to transit through some countries even if they dont go out of the airport.

No any issues faced, traveled to 5 countries multiple times...(all are asian)
I am a proud Sri Lankan and true gentlemen. I am bringing that to everywhere that I travel, no any issues...
This year plan for the Office tour to few EU countries and will share you the experience with that later
No issue.. I’ve travelled to UK,US, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Nepal, UAE without a hitch. Some places number of times. All occasions with proper documentation
Not a single issue so far. Traveled to France, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand and Malaysia and all the officials were okay.
Only issue I had is inside Sri Lanka Airport. Sri Lankan Airlines buggers gave a hard time to me once.

have travelled to USA, singapore, malaysia, thailand and indonesia without issues.
but one big problem compared to other passports (mostly developed and other asian couuntries) is the process of getting visa is usually difficult with lot of documents required - employment confirmation details, bank statements etc etc. Visa fees are also higher and online eVisa options are mostly not available for us.
there's also racism... even in most east asian countries, white people and other east asians are treated better than south asians in general

thanks for being honest! this is exactly what we wanted to know. some members here talk like they own the best passport in the world. they dont understand the problem here. i wont see so many threads about aussie and new zealand migration in elakiri if our countries passport is powerful as their passports. browse around and check how many of them want to migrate.
we should understand there is a reason for them call our passport one of the worst passports in the world. sri lankan passport is one of the worst passports in the world. only limited countries give visa free access to sri lankan passport holders. seems like most sri lankans dont see document work and embassy work as a problem because they're used to it. try to ask from someone who comes from stable country whether he loves to stay in an embassy queue early in the morning ? ask a foreigner whether he loves to take sponsor letters and bank balance proof just to go on a holiday trip ? the answer will be no. our sri lankans are used to this until they dont feel this is a problem

woha... Convenient to Travel Around the World . There are certain countries that allow the Sri Lankan passport holders to travel through the visa waiver program, which does not require the traveler to obtain a visa.

unfortunately some members here think its so easy to travel the world with a sri lankan passport
because some of our sri lankans believe personality matters more than the power of passport i dont think our foreign service have to put their effort on improving the status of our passport. why would you fix something when people feel nothing is broken ? why would you fix something people are already satisfied with ?

Passport is not an issue as long as you have to have things that you want to get Visa
