Hoshi o Oui Kodomo

Makoto Shinkai seems to be paying homage to Miayazaki with this visual masterpiece. The scenery is extremely rich and is on par with Miyazaki's works. The story is definitely Shinkai's own as it still about people and not nature.
This is a must watch for Shinkai or Miyazaki fans. Even non anime fans can enjoy it as its sort of a coming of age movie with stunning scenery.
