Great work by Studio Ghibli. The detail in the backgrounds in the hand drawn graphics is top notch.

No wonder this was the highest grossing Anime in Japan. All the hallmarks of Miyazaki is there even though Goro directed it.
The 50s or 60s look and feel is excellent.

Only down side is its too much of a disney feel good movie for a Jap Anime. Definitely recommended for anime fans.

I never watch without subtitles. I could understand the literal meaning which means nothing in this film

What is better than bad-ass rock girls? Yeah, nothing. This movie is great. It's a biopic of the band from the same name, if you haven't heard a single song of them, shame on you!
Kstew was/is hot, Dakota did a good job. Film as a whole is hot, sensual, humane, kick-ass in a other word it Rock. Sure there are tiny flaws too. But I think they can be easily forgiven. Watch it guys, plus there's a lesbian kiss,
