    How about the other perks
Holidays + අයිස් + take care of you for the rest of your life after retirement.

    What's wrong with them..?

Eg: reading the newspaper before work or have a nap after lunch..?

Also in Gov, you almost never hear about layoffs..

Also the existence of strong trade unions..

On a related note, do Gov workers migrate more than pvt sector workers.?

I think pvt sector attracts highly qualified people by giving them attractive packages.

depends on the sector and department.
in health sector stress and work load is very high. specially in main hospitals.

On the contrary, teachers have a fair amount of holidays and leaves. (so lazy that some women make their life goal to become a teacher. In vain we worshipped and respected those idiots when we were young.)

if we think from the economic output lazy, easy going careers are not good for the economy. but good for personal life.

I like to work long hours. its my personal opinion.
I like to work at least 10 hours a day. But I want flexible hours and good remuneration package.

Ok you are a WFH worker, which does not belong to both categories..

To clarify, I was referring to Office goers..

Government workers who are eligible for car permits are the wisest. (Except for doctors. they have to work too hard.)
