Why assume your GOD is true?

I came across the this claim several times in the forum, "The true GOD is the one I believe and all other GODs are made made concepts."

It is impossible for me not to notice the form of hypocrisy in this claim.

I claim that Flying Spaghetti Monster(FSM) is the true creator of the universe. How do you refute this claim? Moreover how do you support your claim in saying yours is true and FSM is man made?

No religion can prove the supernatural aspect in it.That is the main reason we have to accept it on faith. We cannot prove scientifically there is a God.people quit their common sense to believe some teachings in most of the religions. That is why we can use just common sense & simple arguments to falsify religious facts.I feel people may take science as their religion in the future

Just following the post that atheist post in this forum. just to elaborate about our faith of God concept once again to atheists.

The most concise definition of God in Islam is given in the four verses of Surah Ikhlas which is Chapter 112 of the Qur’an:

"Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute. "He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him." [Al-Qur’an 112:1-4]

we don't accept anything as God if the definition is not matching with above versus.

Just because Science has not established the fact that God exists, we are not going to deny the fact which Quran say.coz we are not ready to go with your science as it is always taking U turn to prove something.more over science has only recently established some facts which was already mentioned in Quran 1400 years ago.no wonder science is slow and not established whether God exist so far. if atheist want us to follow the Science we will be losers. it will be as if going behind current political leaders who will not keep their word.

Atheist can only ever say, "I have no personal knowledge of God" never, "There is no God"

I, myself, have no personal knowledge of Moscow, but I cannot say Moscow doesn't exist.

"O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, you call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!" [Al-Qur’an 22:73]

I'm a catholic. but I don't believe in god. I don't want to wait till my problems get solved by a person I have never seen or met no matter how powerful he is. The bible is good a story book, that's all I think of it. As Sinhalese can we really believe in a religion that hanged our ancestors just because they were Buddhist, and a Vatican that allowed those things to happen. Most of the religions teach men to do good. But do we really need a religion to do that? If we have an understanding of what's good and wrong, we just have to live by our principals. The only religion that I can say I believe is Buddhism. That's because it's more a philosophy than a religion. I don't believe the things about prince Siddhartha walking as soon as he was born, etc. though. But they may symbolize something else. All I want to say is religion isn't a thing to fight about.

fine, as long as you don't have faith about after death life. it is fair in your view.but for those who have faith about life after death, this statement will not be appropriate coz beside doing good deeds, we have to accept the God and its teachings, etc.
yeah all the religion speaks about good things I agree. but I understand more Islam apart from teaching good things, it even teaches about how to achieve that. for eg, I can say you Zakath (charity) which will avoid the robbing.

People are not fighting here. You may call some are purposely abusing other religions thats it. in my religion abusing other religion is prohibited , hopefully no Muslims will never ever abuse others

Why there is definitely a god(Allah)!

    1) The World and Universe he created is perfect. there are no earth quakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, tornados, land slides or cyclones. No natural disasters at all. No comets or other astro-debries falling on to our world. This shows this world is a creation of superior, infallible all knowing GOD/
    Allah!

    2) Our bodies are perfect. No cancer causing mutations, no diseases. perfectly designed by a higher power so we dont get even an headache. No infections HIV or AIDS, nothing that GOD
/(Allah)s great creation, Human body cant Handle. Our Children are born perfectly, No congenital diseases, hole in the hearts , child hood cancers, or any sort of unbearable pain to innocent children or babies. this shows our GOD/(Allah) is perfect and All merciful and not a cruel god at all.

Concept allah & the concept christian God are great myths.Nothing more than than.Thes quran & bible were man written books. Both Muhammad & Jesus never met a God.
In history there were lot of men who claimed they have encountered gods when they were alone in jungles or desserts.Luckily they all did not become messengers of gods.
Conecpt of god is a long standing myths.
we dont have Gods. But I assume we have aliens who are more techonoligically developed than humans in these universe.

Every religion accepts majority of people on this earth are infidels. Therefore it automatically makes world is full of myths, & religions are full of myths. When Muhammad heard about Jesus & how he became messenger of God, he my have understood Jesus must be a lier. Therefore he may also have decided to become a messenger of allah to get more attention from his people. There is only one possibility.we cannot assume all these messengers are true representative the God.Only possibility is all of them are liers or misled by an alien or some kind of hallucination.

I agree with what you say, However we should not forget that not all religions are based on faith. Also science might replace religion in future, but its never gonna be a religion.

Well atheist claim was that your belief is based on faith, and you say exactly the same thing.

One can never say that GOD does not exist, but based on evidence that contradicts the GOD definition one can say its highly unlikely that GOD exists. I say that even though I've never been to Moscow, I do have personal knowledge of Moscow. I've seen it on TV, If you go to the internet you can find out about it, I've met people who have been there, so there is plenty of evidence. But I've never seen a single evidence of GODs existence.

    I'm a catholic. but I don't believe in god.
If you don't believe in GOD what do you mean by you are catholic?

But do we really need a religion to do that? If we have an understanding of what's good and wrong, we just have to live by our principals.
Exactly, the sense of Good and wrong is built in to us. But religion sometimes forces people to drop that natural instinct and act blindly committing crimes against humanity.

All I want to say is religion isn't a thing to fight about.
We all understand that. But religion says otherwise. Through out the history so many crimes were done in the name of religion. Misguided people fight today because of religion and will continue to do so for some time.

Misguided people do abuse other religions, not particularly Muslims by the way.

I'd very much like to know some quranic verses about how to treat other religions if you may.

Well atheist claim was that your belief is based on faith, and you say exactly the same thing.

Yeah faith and common sense.we don't trust the theory of everything coincidence.billions of details making life possible on earth In brief, man lives on a planet perfectly designed for his survival. This is certainly a planet "created for human beings". if you in fact start questioning your self you will realize. such as,

How does the atmosphere serve as a protective ceiling for the earth?

How does each one of the billions of cells in the human body know and perform its individual tasks?

How does this extraordinary ecological balance exist on earth?

A person seeking answers to these questions surely proceeds on the right path. He does not remain insensitive to things happening around him, and doesn't plead ignorance about the extraordinary nature of the world. A person who asks questions, who reflects on and gives answers to these questions will realize that on every inch of the planet, a plan and an order reigns:

How did the flawless order in the whole universe come into being?

Who provided the delicate balances in the world?

How did living beings, incredibly diversified in nature, emerge?

Keeping oneself occupied with relentless research to answer these questions results in a clear awareness that everything in the universe, its
order, each living being and structure is a component of a plan, a product of design. Every detail, the excellent structure of an insect's wing, the system enabling a tree to carry tons of water to its topmost branches, the order of planets, and the ratio of gases in the atmosphere, are all unique examples of perfection.

again this is up to an individual, some will understand, some will not. so i don't argue often with some one regarding this as this is clearly up to a person's way of thinking.

But I've never seen a single evidence of GODs existence.

ridiculous..so u mean you have to have personal knowledge of God, you have to see on TV, you have to see on the internet and you want to meet the people who were with God..to understand the God. don't you feel your reply sounds like silly.don't expect such a mightiest God will be easily accessible to you in the above said means.

Allah cannot be limited to sight and is therefore unseen and He cannot be sensed physically at all. Moreover, on the impermissibility of seeing the Essence of Allah, Quran states:

[6:103] Visions can not reach Him while He reaches to all visions; and He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.

And also when the bani Israeel (The Children (descendants) of Prophet Israeel (Jacob)) asked Moses to show them their Lord they were given a negative reply:
[7.143] And when Musa came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said: My Lord! show me (Thyself), so that I may look upon Thee. He said: You cannot see Me but look at the mountain, if it remains firm in its place, then will you see Me; but when his Lord manifested His glory to the mountain He made it crumble and Musa fell down in a swoon; then when he recovered, he said: Glory be to Thee, I turn to Thee, and I am the first of the believers.

still majority of Muslims believe that we will 'see' Allah on Judgment Day They use Quranic verses like below to argue their case.
[75.22] (Some) faces on that day shall be bright,
    [75.23] Looking to their Lord.
[75.24] And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy
[75.25] Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity.

Adding to the strength of the interpretation of these verses are Hadiths like this:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The people said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" He replied, "Do you have any doubt in seeing the full moon on a clear (not cloudy) night?" They replied, "No, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "Do you have any doubt in seeing the sun when there are no clouds?" They replied in the negative. He said, "You will see Allah (your Lord) in the same way. On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered and He will order the people to follow what they used to worship. So some of them will follow the sun, some will follow the moon, and some will follow other deities; and only this nation (Muslims) will be left with its hypocrites. Allah will come to them and say, 'I am Your Lord.' They will say, 'We shall stay in this place till our Lord comes to us and when our Lord will come, we will recognize Him. Then Allah will come to them again and say, 'I am your Lord.' They will say, 'You are our Lord.' Allah will call them, and As-Sirat (a bridge) will be laid across Hell and I (Muhammad) shall be the first amongst the Apostles to cross it with my followers. Nobody except the Apostles will then be able to speak and they will be saying then, 'O Allah! Save us. O Allah Save us.' ... [A trimmed version of Hadith 1.770 from Sahih Bukhari]
    and another hadith is:

Narrated 'Adi bin Hatim: Allah's Apostle said, "There will be none among you but his Lord will speak to him, and there will be no interpreter between them nor a screen to screen Him." [Sahih Bukhari Vol9, Book 93, No.535]
