Sri Lanka has a market for 21 million people. So companies capital size is low. Even JKH and Atkin Spence is not that big companies. Government should increase capital size into billions of Dollars. Since it being private firm they will find ways to generate revenue. Then firm will stop thinking of Sri Lanka as a market and market abroad. Bigger the capital better revenue and it increases the size of the cake for bigger taxation revenue. Bigger firms are hard to go bankrupt since revenue is derived from multiple sources.

Even Sri Lankan Airlines should buy 200 aircraft in order to be like Gulf carriers this can be done by increase capital of private investment into the company. FDI will easyly flow into the company. Government should not manage Airlines.

Bigger the capital more FDI will increase.Sri Lanka should always think out of the box.

SL is in a mess because of Policy taken by politicians. We need a Margret Thacher like person to privatize companies and boost revenue for the Country. Red tape always benefits the corrupt politicians and not the people. UK is much better position financially now than before.
