My Grandma is 90yrs now. She has vote only UNP in her life.
If I ask her why you voting UNP? She told we have vote UNP only from the past.
They are not considering any thing even country situation and they want to continue the habit.

Everyone who votes are habituated... That is the only way to make a man of freedom a slave of someone or some party.
Now people are habituated to glorify war and can't think of anything else... and they even can't tolarate who are not habituated.

Kandy is the knowledge centre in Sri Lanka. That's why they've got the Peradeniya Uni there. So it's hard to fool people in Kandy

Really surprising that UNP won this seat because Kandu again is a stronghold of buddhism. And Sinhala Buddhist Patriotism is being marketed by the Government pretty nicely.

its always been a UNP stronghold... people didnt vote for UNP because of ranil.. they voted to UNP because of SB. I see it as Govts defeat at Kandy... because if UNP find a way to attack with that streanght Govt would lose.
A lot depend on the end of war.
It is a Maga hitiyoth tho nasie, Gedara giyoth Ambu nasie.
As I always say, if the Govt would end the war they would lose popularity soon for people relax... and eventually forget. If they cntinue people lose the trust of the Govt or they suspect deception.
The Candle is burning from both sides... Govt has to act very fast to take further advantage of war.
