Well actually no. I luv the idea of the war being over . But i am disgusted by the way the public have taken this to be a clear cut indication of who is a better leader for the nation. I wonder how many ppl have stopped to consider that encouraging violence in this manner will have a massively negative effect on the youth and also that it will affect the levels of crime and perhaps change the culture and values as we know it to be..

A leader has to create followers like him to lead long...
Followers are prototypes of the leader.

Isn't this the real opinion of people. People who did not come to vote are definitely are not supporters of Govt.
The number of Govt votes are very close to the number who didn't vote. (Just mere 71,000 more.)
What do you think...
:confused:Would the results be same in a general election

SB heads for record preference count
NO%20TAG.jpg

By Kelum Bandara and J.A.L. JayasingheUNP National Organiser S.B. Dissanayake said last night that he was heading for a record percentage of preferential votes gained by any candidate at an election.
Speaking to Daily Mirror by phone from Kandy, Mr. Dissanayake said that of the preference votes counted by that time, he had more than 78 percent of preferences from the total number of votes polled by the UNP in the Kandy district.
“I have so far obtained more than 183,000 preferences, and the votes are still being counted.
It is a record. Earlier, this record was held by former President Chandrika Kumaratunga. However, she polled less than 65 percent of preferences,” he said.
The total number of votes polled by the UNP in the Kandy district is 237,827.

Still CBK holds that record, so SB has to wait another 20 or 30 yrs to achive that goal, but he can see another record, thats the Ranils new Record, loosing all the elections

No, I don't think so...
They may not vote any party.
But it is clear that they don't support Govt. it is one to one.
If they did they would have voted.
