Huh, Well, well... Networking in our subject is pretty difficult. We rarely accept openly that we practice the craft in our true identity. Vishva and Vasana have been brave to appear in their real name and represent the craft.

I know them, but they are dissapointed on ElaKiri, so they will not come here.

I will tell some news about them. Vasana have found another group of Wiccans. Vishva is fallen in love with an Indian girl. Finally they have found us and told me about their little work on ElaKiri. So I thought to continue from where they have stopped.

nice to know wut happend to wiccans at EK, i was not suprised by the reception they got on EK, and sure they would have be dissapointed. I feel lanka is not ready or open enough to accept something new or that the ppl are ready to take a peek beyond their narrow limits.
    :(

    Discrimination my dear...

The moment you tell one of your new friends that you are a Wiccan or that you Practice Witchcraft, they alianate you, and look at you like looking at an animale...

Witches have been burnet to death and it was not very long ago. Still in India, witches are tortured... (I saw on sky news)

And the worst thing is that you would lose the Job or if you live in an apartment, you may have to find another. The neighbours may blame you for all the bad that happens to them... There are a number of problems when you accept it openly...

That is one reason we use a craft name...

First of all i never thought there will be a following for wicca in sri lanka, and as i always say the narrow mindset of lankans are pretty obvious if u just read around the threads in EK, and i agree with twisted that there will be no other way to change this order, other than coming out.
It is gonna be a big challenge, but you will find many ppl with open minds ready to accept and learn. this is not the witchburning society of middle ages. . .the greatest danger might be wannabes the plain pretenders.
