1) you can install SATA driver by the floppy disk (if u have driver disk and a floppy drive)
2) you can create a "new version" of windows CD by including your SATA drivers to a normal Windows CD by slip stream method, and burning it. Then install windows from it.

BUT :
I have recently installed XP on a Toshiba Sattelite p200 laptop (which is designed for Vista)
but after installing XP there was few problems finding XP drivers as toshiba doesnt officially support XP for this laptop.
MY OPINION is dont install XP if you dont have time to find these (it is very frustrating work man, take mywrd for this)
JUST change(turn off) windows Vista's themes and select performance mode if you want to max ur performance.
