    No. You will need to perform a clean installation (wipe everything and start from scratch) since you cannot directly upgrade/convert from 32-bit to 64-bit operating systems (or vice versa).

    and also, If the laptop was baught with the Genuine OS it self after June 26, 2009, you can order a Free Genuine Windows 7 Upgrade DVD..... But you have to provide all the bills, etc.

    if the laptop has more than 3GB memory, the 32bit windows OS will not see the full memory. It'll see only up to 3GB. to use more than 3GB memory, you'll have to use a 64bit windows OS.

    Daanna puluwan. 32bit daanna eka wada hondai, thawama godak applications 32bit nisa 64bit dammai kiyala wedak naa (memory 4GB walata wada adunam). 64bit wala danata thiyana lokuma advantage eka thamai RAM 4GB walata wada use karanna puluwan eka.

    * If the laptop has more that 3GB of memory. You will not able to use more than 3 GB (approx)
    * If your laptop comes with 64 bit Driver CD. You will have to Download drivers for 32 bit OS.
