I don’t think Linux and Windows are targeting completely different user basses anymore. At least not when the new usability oriented distros like Ubuntu are concerned. In that comparison, MS is focusing on those so called *user friendly* linux distros bundled with Netbooks and Notebooks (not the server oriented variations).
but not more than XP![]()

Ya Windows's the most widely use operating system so why install & use Linux with low functionality!![]()
bcoz its worth it.....man...and linux does not have low functionlity..ok....thing is that people doesnt know how to use those magneficiant functioans which are built in with linux......
not knowing does not mean that they aren't exist.......k...
i know... its useless for even debeting such a topic with in a people who do not want to think out the frame... but still i comment on this just bcoz.. if there is any one who actually dont know about these thing but he/she may think that what u guys are yelling is the truth,,, i only commenting to say that its not true...
linux uses,, a new graphic technology. . so ...sooon enough u gamers cant live without it..
the best thing about linux is not any of the features ,, important of linux is in the concept of open source...
and about the drivers thing..... normally win os require a driver cd to use a device... but in most cases linux has sooo many drivers built in.,in many cases u dont need to installl drivers,, u simply can plug the device and start using it.. i know it from the experence.. for windows,, i have to wast nerarly 1-2 hours to install ma printer n start using it.., but in ubuntu,, i just plug the printer n start printing.,.,
linux gave us a chance to choose., ., on the other hand microsoft demand us to use what they give us.,.,they doesnt care what feild u r workin in.. for an example, if u r in advertising and 3d animation feild u need rather much different softwares than the people who are in programing side,., in windows, all the programers, tutors, animators.. etc: have to use a same os withe some different software,, but in linux u have a number of softwares to choose,, not only the softwares you even can choose a operating system which satisfy your needs...( not any other )...
just try to use both the os 's n soon u'll feel the different...
