Withholding Tax problem

Is the Government planning to increase withholding tax imposed on bank deposits in the coming budget?

I think currently it's at 5%, but I heard MP Harsha De Silva told Parliament unofficially this will increase to a higher percentage.

If it goes up to 36% or any higher % what will we have to do?
