Leader of the opposition Ranil Wickramasinghe is scheduled to leave for India tomorrow, where he is expected to meet several government leaders.

For sure, India is not going to give aid without getting anything back in return. They'll want a bigger market share and/or resources from SL in return for their aid.

dnt u like follow the news or at least the weekend papers mate ???

well the paper said it was an open check meaning that u can draw any amount of money i guess
maybe mahinda's henchmen r counting hw many zeroes to put in the chekc mann

No dude. Didnt get ready any papers today. Been a bit too busy for that.
Maybe this is why Ranil is hopping over to india as well. To see if he can get a similar cheque.

SL forces are not in a position to returning without achiving.
Ranil cannot save prabakaran now.
He is jelous about SLA achievements. Why? The answer my friend... is blowing in the wind... the answer is blowing in the wind.

Logically thinking, I feel govt interpretation of 'who Ranil is' is almost true.

Problem with SL politics has always been that its always a smear campaign. The opposition will always find fault with the ruling party or sling mud at them.
They always try to win the people that way. No opposition ever tried to work with the ruling govt and win the people's votes that way.
This is why now Ranil is failing to get in to power. If they change their strategy and actually work with the govt, I'm pretty sure they'll be able to get to power at the next polls.
