Why do you wanna change her? Opposites attract and that's what gives a relationship the beauty. Me and my girlfriend is the same, kind of opposites as you have described. I liked it about her. It gives me a whole new perspective. Once i got to know her more and more we found more and more common things between us. That made our relationship strong.

Never try to change the other person, once you go on both of you will automatically adapt to each others tastes IF both of you put your effort into it. The most important thing is trust and understanding. If one of it breaks then it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

Let her know that what ever happens you are there for her. You care for her more than anything. Be a friend, a good listener, a shoulder to cry on. Once you start you will get these automatically.

And one last thing don't ever put rules and regulations into a relationship. It only ruins it. If she does something you don't like, just tell her that you don't like what she's doing and it hurts your feelings. Don't be the dominating person. I hope both of you are at least 16/17+. Both of you should know right from wrong hence the above. You are not children to say don't do this and that. Remind her about that.

I say these things from my experience. This my 1st crush/love from 2003/04 and still going strong and we'll be getting married in a couple of years.

WOW... first of all congratulations on your successful relationship and marriage.

And that was some damn good advice. I'll try to remember that.
    We're both 19.. So...
I guess differences are not bad after all....
Thanks for the wonderful piece of advice...
    :)

Since both of you are young adults then you don't have to worry much. Just get to know her first. The other important thing is always always keep an open mind. B'cos at the start everything is a bed of roses, but once the bumpy ride starts there'll be issues. There'll be people saying stuff to her and to you. If you're narrow minded then things will get ugly. When you hear sumting always always verify it, be patient and ask her.

Just remember this as well, there will other guys who will try to take her from you, but you have to be strong and be really good. If you show her that loosing you would mean she's loosing a really good boyfriend/husband-to-be she will never leave you.

Trust me, I had to fight to get to her (metaphorically), and still have to fight even after our parents have talked. You can be amazed at what some guys do, even after knowing the details.

All the best and thanks for listening.

PS. Similar situation as mine, we both are the same age as well.

ya exactly, that's what i am afraid of...
However much we try we finally end up falling for her...
So I don't wanna see this end in utter failure and pain for both of us, a bigger concern is it's her first love (if this happens) so....
    :(

then u have to be even more careful bro, because she's all new to this, and will have a hard time handling things. So, talk with her before starting anything. Be open, and tell her about your reservations and doubts. Ask her how she feels. If you two are confident you can handle this, and deal with whatever problems that arise, and make eachother happy, then go ahead and start it. But remember a relationship isn't all about fun. It's about responsibility and love, even if things are not ideal. Beauty and money and that sort of thing doesn't last forever. Only the bond between you matter when those are gone.

    Yeah I understand I think..
We better talk this out and figure it out...
    Thanks again.!!!
I guess I was being selfish thinking about changing her ways..., her interests are equally important I think..
Thanks for letting me figure this out..

That's the way to go malliya. :):) :D :D If you can understand that, then I think you can work this out. Just don't put any limitations and rules on each other. In the beginning that feels nice, but later on you get sick of all the rules and regulations.

I read this in a book somewhere. (Don't know if it's true.) It said that when  you choose a partner, think, "Is this the man/woman I want to see at breakfast every morning, after 20 years?
will we have anything to talk about together then, or will we be two strangers in one house, living in complete silence?"

So, think about it, talk to each other, and make it work. All the best to you. Hope everything goes fine with you bro..:yes::):)

one partner of the relationship got to be diffrent than then other in some ways ,,, if they are to be the same alike - then what is the meaning of it?
example - someone got to be the strong hold as the other will follow,

not all of us are the same ... but as you develop the relationship, yes, you will find out the true meaning in it....

Note - never fall to the outer beauty ! looks does count but limited !

my advice , go ahead and try it ! be truthful to her ...

    good luck !!!

I have come to know a very beautiful girl through FB... I know what you thinking now, that it's a fake profile... :P Well, it's not she has come to my mom's class in our house.. So she's REAL.

We can't really talk at our house, because my mom is always around her and she's scared to talk to me infront of her.

The problem is that she's not my type.
I listen to mostly kadda songs :P she to sinhala songs...
    Her tastes are different....

    Can that be changed??
She's interested in me too, I know that and her hints say that well.

What should I do???? Is it good to start a relationship with this girl just because she's sooooooooooo beautiful???
    :(

Dnt evr forcd to anyone changed their personal favours..........it same 4 u also....if there any chance talk & gt 2 know each othr.....if all going to match.....go 4 a relationship

Music is a Multi Language thing..... so relationship dosnt depend on da music.........its all abt both of u
