    Colombo
    Hay Everyone,
I wanna know about Toyota Passo. Is it a good car considering its
    1 ) Fuel efficiency
    2 ) Comfortability
    3) Price (Current Sri lankan market, re-conditioned and second-hand)
    4) Maintenance (spare parts and other stuff)

Is it true that it will eventually create problems in its electronic power steering system and make rattling sounds. Have anyone using this car. I appreciate your help.

Similar models, within Toyota, which fit into the same category of the Toyota Passo are the Toyota Vitz and the Toyota IST.

    1) Fuel Efficiency:

Having a 1000cc engine (similar to a Toyota Vitz) you should not have any issues with fuel...hopefully. Power is something that questions me, especially driving on inclined roads, but in the long run you should be fine if you're mainly driving around Colombo. I was thinking more along the lines of Nuwara Eliya - Hatton..that area. :)

    2) Comfortability:

Unlike many other cars of its size, this one seems to have sufficient leg room. Toyota have inflated:P this one it seems. Most of the time the rear end of a car seems to be the issue with space, but this one looks fine.:D (Interior space-wise)

    3) Market & Pricing:

Well this will be the common answer as you would expect from most vehicles with a Toyota badge.:P The price is dependent on the year of manufacture as usual. The Passo ranges from around 1.8 million to 2.8 million, may be even 3 million in worst cases:rolleyes: depending on the YOM and condition of that car. Down in the 1.8 million range tend to be your 2004 models, 2.2 mil for your 2007 models and 2.7 mil for your 2009 models.

    4) Maintenance:

I assume parts should not be a problem as there are a family of these around town. But in saying this, best to get it clarified from the experts. Just try not to stick with the low-quality coolants and oils etc... Even if they are a bit dearer, try to go for not the best:oo: but at least premium.

As with regards to the electronic power steering system and the rattling sounds, I can not give you an answer to be honest as I do not personally own a Passo. :(

Hope you get what you want. ;)

    Suba Dhavasak :D
    Jaya Wewa :)
