and he may not have forced her or anything for all we know :P why not assume innocent until proven guilty I think that's the more humane way than to assume guilty until proven innocent.

and 15 year olds are fit to reproduce at all :P hence they are equipped with all the natural organs to it. see, again Nature beats us to it. somehow the society won't allow a 15year old to go thru all of it.

It's us the society that made 'being a teenage pregnant' look like such a tragedy. your hormones crave it, you are physically ready for it, but the education system, and other shit is telling you that you are not.
and STD is may be nature way of cutting off the extra production :P we sure have a way of developing a resistance to nature. but well you know, it will always find a way.

hmm during the hunter/gatherer days, things didn't go too well for women, so i can understand your resentment. while today we have almost outgrown that issue, we, regardless the gender still struggle to survive, but now it's not your physic now it's rather, how well you adapt to the system.
so this 15 year old chick has lost a few of her chances according to it now, but she's still alive and well functioning. if her mind is strong, she will over look the shit thrown at her by people like most people who commented here and find her peace in somewhere.
but none of us ever find peace of mind lying in this society..it's always beyond the frames of it. that alone proves the fact that this system is just a big joke. it's a walking example of ultimate hypocrisy :)

The problem with innocent until proven guilty in this sort of situation is that real criminals will use it to their advantage. So this is the best the society could do. While it may be unfair in certain cases, we really don't have a better alternative.

At 15, you body may be ready. But your mind isn't. I know I'm not really fit to be a mother even yet. I think the problem is that although our biology is the same as our ancestors, our mental and social maturity works different these days. We can't live on the simple skills of hunting and gathering now. We need education and other complex social skills, understanding, a job and so on to function in this society. A girl who becomes a mother at 15 has none of those, and woe to the child and the mother both. It takes time to create a fully developed human these days, and 15 years certainly isn't enough.

There's actually a good reason why the survival theory would make life crap for women. Unlike with other beasts, human males cannot take NO for an answer. In most species, males compete to impress the female and the female gets to choose. That's how nature designed it. But with humans, we have evolved away from nature, and human men take what they want by force if it is not given to them willingly. Plus we are not really as considerate towards our young as most animals are. (e.g how dolphins treat their young and how we treat ours is way different. They are better caretakers.)

If there were no law, there would be no protection for women, kids, and weaker males. (Most animals don't rape and kill their young.. etc.)

Yes, this kid could make a life. But her life may have been better but for this incident. What the conductor is held responsible is for that loss. He was an adult, therefore old enough to consider the consequences, while she wasn't.

The legal system may be faulty, but it is the best we have until a better alternative arises. :):):)

Cutting the penis will kill a person in minutes (if you couldn't block the blood flow). And you are going to jail for attempted or succeeded murder. That would be going to jail for getting abused.

I think a nice spray of peppermint and hitting the nuts of the blind person would do enough damage. There are three instances where you can walk away from murder, if you were in your correct mind.

    1.Self protection (life threatening)
2.Protection of someone near you (if life threatening)
    3.Avoid classical rape (attempted)

    Has to be proven, anyway

all your points are valid within the context of this society :P it's like they have presented us with this social structure to save our lives that we never lost in the first place.

Nature isn't faulty, it did manage to get us physically and mentally mature to procreate at such a young age. but the society has made us mentally unfit to do it at the time of physical maturity.
so we have created such lulzy laws to compete with the other part of our own selves that didn't and will never really adapt to this social structure, which is our mentality. (but apparently some of us are well adapted ) call me primitive.

murder, rape and horrible things aside, what has happened is social structures fault.
it has forced us to run along this race, where the rules are set in opposite of the nature of us. and it deemed guilty of those that can't resist the natural urges.

The cutting off part was supposed to be a legal punishment. Instead of imprisonment, you just some form of castration that and let the loser go.

If you want to escape from a would be rapist, the above mentioned methods are good. :):):)
